Amanda L. Nelson is an associate with the litigation group of Belkin, Burden, Wenig & Goldman, LLP. Ms. Nelson joined the firm in February of 2007. Immediately prior to joining the firm, Ms. Nelson was an associate with Adam Leitman Bailey, P.C..
Ms. Nelson graduated from New York Law School magna cum laude in June 2004, and graduated magna cum laude from Baruch College in May 2001, where she earned a bachelor's degree in English Literature. While at New York Law School, Ms. Nelson was an associate editor of the Law Review, and authored the published case comment Democratic Republic of Congo v. Belgium: The International Court's Consideration of Immunity of Foreign Ministers From Criminal Prosecution in Foreign States. After obtaining her J.D, Ms. Nelson clerked for the honorable Thomas W. Cavanagh, Jr., the current presiding judge of chancery of the New Jersey Superior Court, Monmouth County Vicinage.
Ms. Nelson is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Real Property Law and Young Lawyers Sections) and the New York County Lawyers' Association. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
